Meet Edith Chavez De Oseguera, J.D.

Edith Chavez De Oseguera, J.D., is a highly accomplished attorney and lead counsel at United Law Group, where she specializes in immigration-related matters while also providing bilingual services in family law, business law, criminal defense, civil litigation, and civil rights cases.

Born and raised in Cancun, Mexico, Chavez De Oseguera completed her undergraduate degree in Business Administration at UA Little Rock. She then pursued her passion for law at the William H. Bowen School of Law, where she graduated with honors and received the Dean's Public Service Award. Today, she is licensed to practice law in Arkansas.

Chavez De Oseguera's passion for law and public service stems from her family's experiences with political persecution and her own journey as an immigrant. Her mother's refugee status in Mexico and her grandfather's persecution as an attorney in Nicaragua during the Revolution have deeply influenced her commitment to advocating for immigrant rights. Given her unique background and experience, Chavez De Oseguera possesses a deep understanding of the challenges faced by newcomers and marginalized communities within the legal system. 

Chavez De Oseguera's public service extends beyond her legal career. She has volunteered as an interpreter for the Mexican Consulate, worked on voter participation efforts with Indivisible Little Rock, and served as a panelist promoting diversity in education. Her experiences supporting underserved communities have further fueled her commitment to pro bono work and contributing to organizations that serve vulnerable individuals.
