Meet Edith Chavez De Oseguera, Esq.
Edith Chavez De Oseguera, J.D., is a highly accomplished attorney and lead counsel at United Law Group, where she focuses in immigration-related matters while also providing bilingual services in family law, criminal defense, and civil litigation. She is an active member of the American Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Arkansas Bar Association, and the Benton County Bar Association.
Raised in Cancun, Mexico, Edith completed her undergraduate degree in Business Administration at UA Little Rock where she graduated with high honors. She then pursued her passion for law at the William H. Bowen School of Law, where she received the Dean's Distinguished Public Service Award.
Edith's passion for law and public service stems from her family's experiences with political persecution. Given her unique background and experience, Edith possesses a deep understanding of the challenges faced by newcomers and vulnerable communities within the legal system.
Her public service extends beyond her legal career. She has worked on voter participation efforts with several entities in the United States and Mexico, and on numerous occasions has served as a panelist promoting diversity in education. Edith is also a consulting attorney for the Mexican Consulate and several non-profits.

Meet Jackie Mangandi, Esq.
Jackie Mangandi is an associate attorney at United Law Group PLLC, where she focuses on immigration law, including both affirmative cases and removal defense. Additionally, her practice encompasses criminal defense matters.
Attorney Mangandi earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, graduating cum laude from Harding University in 2017. During her time at Harding, she interned with Judge Craig Hannah at the White County Circuit Court and participated in the Criminal Justice Association. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from William H. Bowen School of Law in 2020.
Throughout her legal career, Attorney Mangandi has balanced her practice of representing private clients with a strong commitment to pro bono work. In her spare time, she has assisted low-income communities and interned with the Arkansas Children's Hospital Medical-Legal Partnership Program at Legal Aid. Additionally, she contributed to the Arkansas Works Outreach Program, providing vital legal support to underserved individuals. In recognition of her dedication to public service, Mrs. Mangandi received the Dean’s Certificate of Distinguished Service Award in 2019. She was also honored as the Most Outstanding Member of the Hispanic Law Student Association (now the Latin American Law Student Association).
Attorney Mangandi began her legal career as a law clerk at one of Arkansas's leading criminal defense firms. Before advancing to the role of associate attorney at that firm, she served as an attorney assistant, gaining substantial experience in traffic violations, domestic violence, drug offenses, and other serious felony cases. She then transitioned to practice immigration law to focus on removal defense and asylum law.
She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Arkansas Bar Association, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Meet Prerana Kodakandla
Prerana Kodakandla is an intern at United Law Group and a student in Ignite Law & Public Policy. This year, Prerana was chosen to represent the State of Arkansas in the United States Senate Youth Program in Washington, D.C. where she will meet with the President of the United States, a U.S. Supreme Court Justice, senators, cabinet members, federal agency leaders, and senior members of the national media.
Prerana is also a Captain of the Debate Team at her school and the Director of PURE Youth Bentonville where she spearheads fundraisers for local and global projects. As a previous group leader in Senator John Boozman’s Congressional Youth Cabinet, she received Congressional recognition after leading, researching, and presenting a legislative proposal to address pressing public issues.
Prerana’s academic pursuits are equally impressive, including being an AP Capstone Diploma candidate, a 2-time recipient of the Presidential Volunteer Service Award, an AP Scholar with Distinction, and a National Speech & Debate Tournament qualifier.
In her free time, Prerana is a Youth Debate Forum instructor with LOUDwomen, an organization dedicated to empowering young women and rural students. She has also previously been a part of the Mayor of Bentonville’s Youth Council, interacting with different city departments and promoting civic engagement. With a commitment to making a positive difference and a passion for fostering community impact, Prerana plans to pursue a major in political science or public policy and obtain her law degree.
Meet Ashley Gomez
Ashley Gomez is a bilingual paralegal at United Law Group, having joined the firm in January 2025. As the daughter of immigrants, she is deeply passionate about supporting children and families, particularly in the context of immigration law. Having witnessed the struggles of many firsthand, Ashley is driven to help those who may be too afraid to realize their full potential for success.
Ashley is also a high honors student and a member of the Ignite Law and Public Policy program, a highly competitive initiative that provides professional learning experiences to help students prepare for the challenges and opportunities ahead.
Through this program, Ashley is honing her skills and building a professional network as she explores her aspirations of becoming an attorney. Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, she has demonstrated leadership in the arts as a member of the Midnight Regiment Marching Band at Bentonville West. Ashley also served as the alto saxophone section leader for three years and was a member of the wind ensemble for two years.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Ashley earned her Seal of Biliteracy and has volunteered with ESL students, offering encouragement and support in their academic journeys.
Looking ahead, Ashley is excited to attend the University of Arkansas in the upcoming fall, where she plans to earn her Business degree before pursuing her juris doctorate.

Meet Isabella Oseguera
Isabella works at United Law Group as an interpreter and translator on a contractual basis, using her bilingual skills to bridge communication gaps. As a Court Interpreter Candidate, she is dedicated to ensuring equitable access to legal processes for non-English speakers. In addition to her work, Isabella is a Fulbright honors student at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where she serves as president of the Latino Medical Student Association.
Growing up in Cancún, Mexico, Isabella not only became fluent in Spanish but also witnessed firsthand the economic inequalities that shape access to essential services, including healthcare and the law. After college, she plans to pursue her passion for medicine, with a focus on serving underserved communities.
Her resilience, shaped by her personal experience, has strengthened her ability to adapt and excel. Her cultural competence has been further enriched through volunteer work in Thailand and the Dominican Republic, gaining insight into international healthcare practices. With her leadership, problem-solving skills, and commitment to justice, she is a dedicated advocate on behalf of others.
